Yakitori At Piss Alley
In the Shinjuku district of Tokyo there is an alleyway with a very distinctive atmosphere.
'Memory Lane', or 'Piss Alley' as it is known to some is a very dark, dingy area, full of locals having a beer and indulging in some excellent Yakitori. Its a far cry from any of your usual tourist hotspots which adds to the cramped atmosphere.
"Piss Alley is named for its early years, when it was a shady destination for criminals to get their drink on." As you can imagine, many of the then locals relieved themselves wherever they wanted; hence the name.
